Teaching Summer Institutes - 2011

Program Details

Technology & Education: Connecting Cultures (TECC) is currently recruiting tertiary students in Hong Kong as volunteers from every local university for the TECC Teaching Summer Institutes 2011 program.

Make a difference this summer! Work with students from top universities in China and the United States.

Successful applicants will:

  • Teach English or computer skills to secondary or primary school teachers in rural China for a two-week period throughout July to late August;
  • Work closely with college students from Stanford University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Hong Kong universities and Smith College etc. to build up a strong network with them;
  • By introducing innovative teaching methods to the Mainland teachers, your efforts will influence the whole education chain of thousands of Chinese youth, instead of just tens of children you teach during the 2 weeks' stay.
