Teaching Summer Institutes - 2011
Program Details
Technology & Education: Connecting Cultures (TECC) is currently recruiting tertiary students in Hong Kong as volunteers from every local university for the TECC Teaching Summer Institutes 2011 program.
Make a difference this summer! Work with students from top universities in China and the United States.
Successful applicants will:
- Teach English or computer skills to secondary or primary school teachers in rural China for a two-week period throughout July to late August;
- Work closely with college students from Stanford University, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Hong Kong universities and Smith College etc. to build up a strong network with them;
- By introducing innovative teaching methods to the Mainland teachers, your efforts will influence the whole education chain of thousands of Chinese youth, instead of just tens of children you teach during the 2 weeks' stay.
Briefing Session
A briefing session will be held to enable interested students to know more about TECC and TSI program. TSI officers and past participants will share their experience during the briefing.
Time: March 28th, 7:30pm-9:30pm

Interested students should complete and return the application form available here to tsi@teccultureshk.org by 4th April 2011, 17:00HKT.
Shortlisted applicants will be informed to have an interview on either April 21st or 22nd 2011.
* Successful applicants are required to pay HKD 50 as administration fee.
All college students in Hong Kong are eligible to apply. Students should be able to communicate in Putonghua or English.
