Technology & Education: Connecting Cultures (Hong Kong) (TECC(HK)) would like to invite students majoring in any discipline from all local tertiary institutions, who are enthusiasts for voluntary services, to join the executive committee.

1. Who We Are
TECC was initiated by university students from Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and U.S. in 2004. TECC(HK) is registered as society in accordance with Section 5A(1) of the Societies Ordinance in Hong Kong. The vision of TECC is (i) bridging the technological gap between the rich and the socially disadvantaged (ii) fostering mutual understanding between Chinese and American youths through collaborative projects with the same mission and goal.

To implement our objectives, TECC has organized Teaching Summer Institutes (TSI) and Youth Ambassadors Program for the Minorities (YAPM) in several provinces in China such as Gansu, Sichuan, Yunnan, Anhui, Ningxia, Jiangxi, annually in the past years. TECC HK has been sponsored by Hsin Chong - KN Godfrey Yeh Education Fund for Joint Student Projects from year 2006 to present and the HSBC Diversity Grant from year 2006-2009.

2. Recruitment
We are now recruiting members for the following positions (the main duties of which are outlined below) in the executive committee:

Project Officer (TSI) / Project Officer (YAPM)	- Liaise with other TECC chapters - Assist in the recruitment process for volunteers - Initiate fund-raising projects - Seek sponsorships
Technology Officer	- Maintenance of website - Provide technical support to the committees
Art Director	- Work on designs for internal and external uses
Project Innovation (PI) Officer	- Initiate new projects - Explore new local or non-local projects - Liaise with other chapters - Seek sponsorships

All officers will be co-organizers of the above programs with other TECC chapters and the executive committee will hold meetings on every Saturday night. Additional meetings will be held if necessary. Attendance and contribution in meetings are of vital importance. The term of office is one year and it commences in January 2012 to December 2012.

3. What you get
To be a committee member of TECC(HK), you will:
- Gain experiences in organizing a social entrepreneurship and social projects;
- Polish your communication and interpersonal skills through frequent liaising with our counterparts (TECC members from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University , Fudan University, Stanford University, Smith College and universities in Hong Kong);
- Make friends with the people who share the same vision with you; and
- Have the priority to join our programmes and Annual Summit outside Hong Kong.
